SaaS Company Gets Key API Integrations For Growth and Scale

growth via API integration

challenge

Developing New Opportunities

In order to maintain their market-leading position, and continue to grow and scale their core product, a fast-growing SaaS start-up required the development of two API integrations. Their business development team was focused on new opportunities with enterprise companies, and these integrations would help make their product more competitive. Thanks to recent private equity funding, our client was now able to start the development process, but wanted their internal teams to focus on their core product. They needed a trusted development partner with a history of scaling multiple teams quickly, and had been unsuccessful in the past when using offshore companies.

solution

Scrum-as-a-Service®

The company deployed a Sparq Scrum-as-a-Service® team who quickly stepped in to develop the API integration needed to tie their core product platform into a third-party application. Under the direction of the product management team, Chief Architect, and Production Operations Manager, a major third-party access roadblock was discovered, so the Scrum-as-a-Service® team quickly pivoted to ramp up a new high priority API integration.

A 16% Cost Advantage

We prototyped a new Extract-Transform-Load plugin pattern using OneLogin data APIs to transform and load OneLogin event data into the client’s platform. This ultimately allowed our client to accelerate the announcement of a new partnership and launch the corresponding integration simultaneously. Additionally, their business development team no longer had to navigate their way around the lack of these important integrations when meeting with potential enterprise clients. Working with Sparq provided a 16% cost advantage to the client over utilizing their own full-time employees. Due to the success of our initial project nine more teams were added and we took on additional workstreams.
