Sales Enablement Application Needing Upgrades for Revenue Growth

Our client, a leader in the manufacturing of home generators, had an aging dealer-facing sales enablement application with features including lead management, calculators and diagrams to help better map out and explain the solution to customers and proposal creation tools. Frequent outages meant many dealers were frustrated and not using the application, hindering the opportunity for additional revenue opportunities within the proposal creation feature. In addition, increased application stability was required for future features in order to provide continued revenue and dealer base growth. They needed a partner who could sunset their old application and create a modernized, user-friendly product.

New Cloud Architecture

We refactored the .NET backend and engaged in the review, development and elaboration of Azure Cloud architecture for enhanced stability and business continuity. We took the most important aspects of functionality from the old application and integrated them with a number of user experience updates, while also adding additional touch points for the dealers. This leveraged the best features of each tech stack for a much-improved performance. We also architected and created technical documentation development and the appropriate knowledge transfer. Our team ensured adherence to and consultation with the client regarding coding standards, development and change control processes in order to set them up for long-term success. Finally, we provided technical leadership and best practices around unit testing of developed objects.

Before these enhancements were made, our client had experienced multiple outages, rework and downtime and the work delivered has created stability and closed that gap of incidents to near zero. The user experience updates have also created higher satisfaction levels for dealers, enabling them to sell more products thanks to the increased use of the application. With this new level of performance, our client now has the confidence to continue to roll out the dealer sales platform and drive revenue with new platform offerings.
