As a Fortune 500 company offering health plans in more than 130 countries, standardization was difficult and our client was concerned it could start affecting their brand’s image in the marketplace. The UHG brand was represented on various websites and online platforms without consistent aesthetics or code, so they needed to standardize their presence across the multiple web platforms they’ve built over time, to improve their presence across the globe. In addition, they felt the need to make their development process more efficient by creating components that could be applied across platforms. UHG also had a tight timeline, so our team needed to act quickly to meet our client’s needs.

ENABLING Their DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION

In order to create consistency across the globe, our team translated the UI elements into a custom framework that UHG developers would later use to build new web pages and adapt existing ones. Our greatest challenges were making the code 100% responsive despite the content users would add to it and building a solution that could be accessed from any browser, even the oldest. For that, our team conducted meticulous testing processes to validate the solution was compatible to every browser and device on the market.

A FULLY RESPONSIVE AND FLEXIBLE WEB FRAMEWORK

Our team came up with a solution in under two months. It’s a responsive framework that contains CSS and JavaScript-based templates for different interface components, such as typography, buttons, forms, etc. This provides UHG developers with elements that adjust perfectly to their specifications. It also works in sync with any other framework or layout builders that UHG teams may use when creating a new web platform or other apps. All of these elements come together to create a standardized, structured process for better brand management across the world.
