ATLANTA (January 19, 2021) – Technology jobs continue to be a hot commodity in the industry. Despite the challenges of a global pandemic, Rural Sourcing posted significant growth in revenue and staff in 2020. Revenue grew by 11 percent over the last year, bucking the trends many companies in the U.S. saw with fewer business opportunities. Despite economic challenges, Rural Sourcing is positioned for additional growth and success in 2021.
Over the past few years, Rural Sourcing has continued to expand, demonstrating both the demand and success of the company’s innovative model. At its core, Rural Sourcing provides custom software development for some of the largest and most innovative companies in the U.S. With six development centers located in middle America, the company and its employees are making a positive impact on the community and the country.
“2020 has been a challenging year for the business community as a whole,” said Monty Hamilton, CEO of Rural Sourcing. “It has challenged us to embrace creative solutions, make difficult choices, and become more agile. At Rural Sourcing, we have viewed this as an opportunity to innovate. As a result, we have developed momentum going into 2021 and will continue to grow in the years ahead.”
In addition to revenue growth, Rural Sourcing increased the number of our colleagues across the company. Some of the largest growth appeared in Fort Wayne, Ind. and Oklahoma City. Fort Wayne saw 114 percent increase in headcount, while Oklahoma City increased by 41 percent.
Over the past decade, Rural Sourcing has received numerous workplace awards—both on the local and national level—demonstrating the company’s commitment to delivering the best experience for its employees and clients. Most recently, Rural Sourcing was named one of the top 100 fastest-growing companies in metro Atlanta by the Atlanta Business Chronicle’s Pacesetter list. The company also placed on this year’s Inc. 5000 list, which ranks the nation’s fastest growing private companies.
With a mature, U.S.-based model, Rural Sourcing provides a low-risk, high-collaboration solution for clients, while delivering the quality and responsiveness that are needed in today’s fast paced digital world. In 2019, Bain Capital Double Impact, the impact investing business of Bain Capital, acquired a majority stake in Rural Sourcing allowing the company to further scale its national footprint and digital service offerings while creating high-quality jobs and new technology corridors across the country.
